Usually after a school holiday, I am ready to get back to normality, kids back to school, back to routine. However, I seem to be feeling a bit uncertain this time. I have been looking forward to getting back into the routine and having something to get up and get dressed for so the school run was much appreciated this morning... but at the same time, I am going to miss my loved ones a lot. Yesterday I said to my daughter 'Wahoo, you're back to school tomorrow' (joking of course) and she responded by telling me that I would miss her and I knew she was right.
Perhaps it is just because we all had such a nice Christmas even though we all had a sickness bug and we were stuck in the house a lot of the time. It went really quickly too.
I was worried about getting up and getting organised after being out of our morning routine but I managed to get the children to school on time this morning and considering it has snowed during the night, I think I did pretty well.
